I am retired on fixed income and can not afford the rent I now pay but am stuck with 7 more months on lease. Can I get out of that?

Generally, you cannot break your lease in Nevada for any reason, even if you can no longer afford to pay the rent. However, you may be able to negotiate a compromise with your landlord. For example, your landlord may allow you to terminate your lease early if you find a tenant to take over your lease.
