The New Hampshire Lemon Law applies to new motor vehicles purchased or leased with a gross weight of under 9000 pounds, that suffer a nonconformity; a defect or condition, which substantially impairs the use, value or safety; that cannot be repaired after three attempts by an authorized manufacturer's dealership. This nonconformity must occur within the warranty period. The New Hampshire Lemon Law also applies to vehicles that are in the shop for repair thirty (30) or more business days during the express warranty period.

The only vehicles that are excluded under the New Hampshire Lemon Law are tractors, off highway recreational vehicles and mopeds.

It's important to note that even if your car falls outside of the limitations established by the Lemon Law, there are still Federal breach of warranty laws which apply.
