Child Custody in New Jersey

New Jersey courts will presume that both parents should have maximum involvement regarding the physical, mental, moral, and emotional well-being of the child. Child Support and Visitation in New Jersey

In New Jersey, the courts follow New Jersey Statutes – 2A:34-23 as a basic layout of the rules for determining the amount of support that is to be paid. New Jersey uses the Income Shares method to determine child support, which means that the level of support is determined by the income of both parents. In New Jersey, if the non-custodial spouse violates the visitation order, you may file an order to hold him or her in contempt of the court. check to learn more.
