How to Form an LLC in Ohio

Forming a Limited Liability Company in Ohio is relatively easy.  This article should give you resources to understand how the process works in Ohio, and to use the legal forms from the Ohio Secretary of State to form an LLC in Ohio.

If your company name is available, you can begin filling out Form 533, Articles of Organization for a Domestic Limited Liability Company. The filing fee is $125. There are two mailing options for your forms and fees. If you choose to expedite, there is an additional $100 fee, and that can be submitted to: P.O. Box 1390, Columbus, OH 43216. If you choose standard processing, simply mail your $125 fee to P.O. box 670, Columbus, OH 43216. Please note, applications will not be processed unless the appropriate fees are included.
