Incorporating in Ohio is relatively easy.  This article should give you resources to understand how the incorporation process works in Ohio, and to use the legal forms from the Ohio Secretary of State to incorporate in Ohio.

Though not required, it is advised that you check your corporate name for availability before filing any applications. To check name availability, visit the Business Name Inquiry page and search your desired company name.

If your company name is available, you can begin filling out Form 532, Initial Articles of Incorporation. The filing fee for incorporating is $125. There are two mailing options for your forms and fees. If you choose to expedite, there is an additional $100 fee, and that can be submitted to: P.O. Box 1390, Columbus, OH 43216. If you choose standard processing, simply mail your $125 fee to P.O. box 670, Columbus, OH 43216. Please note, applications will not be processed unless the appropriate fees are included.

Ohio requires Biennial Reports. The Biennial Report form is available here. The filing fee is $25, and the reports can be submitted two ways. For an additional $100 fee, you can expedite your report and submit it to: P.O. Box 1390, Columbus, OH 43216. For standard processing, simply mail to: P.O. Box 788, Columbus, OH 43216.
