Oregon State Bar (OSB) The OSB Lawyer Referral Service consists of a referral to a local attorney and a 30 minute consultation with the attorney for a $35 fee. The Lawyer Referral service can also provide assistance helping you determine what kind of legal assistance you  might need and organizations that may be able to help.The Modest Means Program offers reduced-rate legal assistance to modest-income Oregonians involved in family law, criminal defense, foreclosure, and landlord/tenant issues. The program application is available at the OSB website.The Military Assistance Panel is a program geared towards matching deployed servicemembers and their dependents with lawyers who provide up to 2 hours of free legal advice.The Problem Solvers program provides 30 minutes of free legal information and advice to children and young adults ages 11 to 17.Hours: 8 am to 5 pm Monday-FridayPhone: 503-684-3763 or toll-free in Oregon at 800-452-7636.Legal Aid Services of Oregon (LASO)LASO is a non-profit organization that offers legal representation to low-income Oregonians. LASO also has Native American and farmworker programs.  Note, LASO only provides representation for civil matters.LASO office locations LASO also has helplines for those with questions regarding child support and public benefits. Contact your local office for other hotlines that may be available in your area.Child Support Hotline (1-800-383-1222) - Monday 1pm to 4 pm, Thursday 9am to noonPublic Benefits Hotline (1-800-520-5292) - Tuesday & Wednesday 9 am to noon, Monday through Thursday 1 pm to 4 pm.Oregon Law Center (OLC)  The Oregon Law Center provides free legal assistance to low income Oregonians. OLC offers information, advice, and representation on a variety of civil matters.  OLC also has a few programs including assistance to clients who speak indigenous languages from Mexico and Guatemala and a program matching low income clients with pro bono attorneys.  OLC has the same child support and public benefits statewide hotlines as LASO but also has a pro bono hotline. St. Andrew Legal Clinic offers legal services for low and moderate income clients with family law matters.  The clinic uses a sliding scale for determining their fees.  They serve clients in Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, and Columbia counties and have three office locations. In addition, the Community Development Law Center provides low cost legal assistance to non-profit organizations that provide housing and shelter for specific populations.SALC office locations

Legal Aid Services of Oregon (LASO) is a statewide non-profit organization that provides access to legal help for people to protect their livelihoods, their health, and their families. As a civil legal aid program, LASO assures fairness for all in the justice system, regardless of how much money you have. Through our own staff attorneys and hundreds of volunteers, LASO gives free legal help to thousands of low-income and elderly clients each year in matters relating to their physical safety, access to food and shelter, and other critical legal needs.
