A dissolution of marriage,

A dissolution of marriage, sometimes referred to as a divorce, is the legal recognition that your marriage has ended. To start a dissolution of marriage case in Oregon, you must file a petition for dissolution in the county where either you or your spouse live. However, there are two different petitions in Oregon: a petition for dissolution without children and a petition for dissolution with minor children. Since your children are adults, and I assume 18 years of age or older, you will file for dissolution without children. For more information about filing for divorce in Oregon, visit the Oregon Judicial Department Family Law website, http://courts.oregon.gov/OJD/OSCA/cpsd/courtimprovement/familylaw/pages/fl_divorce.aspx. To learn about the grounds, or reasons, for divorce in Oregon see http://www.freelegalaid.com/nav/oregon/divorce/article/oregon-divorce-law-grounds-divorce.
