Question:

My youngest daughter lives in Florida with her grandparents and my ex my ex was sentenced to eight years in the Department of Corrections in Florida and temporary custody was given to the grandparents by me and her mother now that the outcome of her sentence has exceeded the time frame in which I would like to see her down there without her mom or me because I live in Colorado I would like that temporary custody order to be taken back from the grandparents and full custody and control given to me here in Colorado what steps do I need to take to bring my daughter back home to Colorado. I'm fully capable I'm taking care of my daughter my fiance and I we own our own home home with more than enough room for my daughter her older brother and sister live here as well as about 50 other family members members the only family in Florida is just her grandma grandpa her mom who is now incarcerated a great-grandmother and an aunt she's only seven years old and she's going to have a tough time adjusting I just think it be best if she was just here in Colorado with two parents I really love and care about her and can provide a very stable and loving environment to help her through this time I really need some advice..

The steps that you need to

The steps that you need to take include contacting one or more family attorneys in the county where the order was entered and having a full discussion about all of the circumstances. You need to provide copies of the agreement and the order that was entered. The steps that have to be taken after that will depend upon the advice that is given.
