Forming a Limited Liability Company in Arizona is relatively easy.  This article will provide you with resources to understand how the process works in Arizona as well as with legal forms from the Arizona Secretary of State that you will need to form an LLC in Arizona.

In order to file in Arizona, you need to visit the Commission’s Corporations Divisions website to download the forms. You will need forms LL0004, LL0001 and CFCVLR. The Arizona Corporate Commission website also contains newspaper listings of acceptable publications to announce the formation of your LLC.

It is advised that you conduct a preliminary name search before filing any documents, which can be found on the Corporations Division website. This website also provides you with a detailed explanation about how to correctly name your company. If you prefer, you can then file a name reservation online for a fee and reserve your name for 120 days; this, however, is not required.

Once the documents are printed and filled out, they can be mailed to the Corporations Division of the Arizona Corporations Commission at: Phoenix Office, 1300 W. Washington, 1st floor Phoenix, AZ 85007. These documents must also include your filing fees in the form of a check or money order. The regular filing fee is $50, although an expedited filing is also offered for $85.

Arizona Corporations Division also accepts fax filings. Your documents can be faxed to: (602) 542-4100. If you employ this option, however, the payment of necessary fees must be arranged ahead of time. If you choose to fax your articles of incorporation, the Commission can set up a Money on Deposit account. After you fax your documents, you will not receive a confirmation from the Corporations Division. Typically, faxed documents are entered within two business days after the receipt. To confirm receipt, you may call (602) 542-3026 after the completion of two full business days.
